Neuropsychologist | Partner in Your Care Journey
I’m Dr. Paul Short, a neuropsychologist and geriatrics specialist with over 20 years of experience helping older adults and their families understand changes in thinking, memory, and mood. Many of the people I work with are living with Parkinson’s disease or caring for someone who is—and I’m here to help make that road a little easier to walk.
My job is to figure out what’s going on in the brain and explain it in a way that makes sense. Whether you’re worried about memory, having trouble concentrating, or just feeling like something’s changed, we’ll work together to get clarity—and a plan. I take time to listen, answer questions, and help families feel confident in the steps ahead.
I also lead support groups and workshops for people with Parkinson’s and their partners, focusing on real-life tools to improve communication, reduce stress, and stay connected through it all.
You don’t have to go through this alone. I’ll meet you where you are—with science, compassion, and a deep respect for the life you’ve built.
Dr. Paul is forming an in-person group that will meet in his office every other week for six weeks. Although members will find support, the purpose of this group is to help its members develop strategies for managing and navigating the confusing world of loving someone with PD. You are invited to an old fashioned Chalk Talk via the internet. This will be the first of what we hope may be regular opportunities for Partners to learn about aspects of managing a relationship challenged by Parkinson's.
